Summary Computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining
accounting records by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepare salesmen commission reports.
Input paper bin quantities into QuickBooks monthly.
Calculate and monitor recurring journal entries, and other adjusting journal entries as needed.
Reconcile general ledger accounts with various registers and or documents.
Review general ledger postings for accuracy and consistency.
Reconcile bank statements.
Balance inventory quantity on hand in accounting system on regular basis to monthly physical
Investigate inventory discrepancies.
Monitor inventory items cost value.
Maintain prepaid and accrued expenses.
Help maintain fixed asset files.
Assists and supports sales team with inside sales duties, along with monthly sales reports.
Prepare use tax due on all purchases.
Prepare payroll tax returns, monthly, quarterly and annually.
Assist in preparing any tax filings.
Assist in creating sales orders for customer purchases.
Assist in taking payments for services and products.
Assist in reviewing all monthly financial document preparation.
Prepare Volume Rebate calculations.
The following duties are shared front office duties:
Answer incoming telephone calls and determine purpose of callers, and forwards call to
Take and deliver messages to transfer calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are
Answer questions about organization and provide callers with address, directions, and other
Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business and announce visitors to appropriate
Monitor visitor access and issues passes when required.
Send faxes, retrieve and route incoming faxes.
Prepare labels for paper inventory tracking.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor' s Degree in Accounting required. 1-3 years of related work experience preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability
to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and
small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions,
percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and
