Accounting Manager will play an important role in helping the Company comply with US GAAP while ensuring the accuracy and completion of work produced by the Accounting Department as part of a fast paced and growing organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervises and is responsible for the accuracy and completion of all work produced by the Department

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting accounting related pre- and post-close activities of mergers and acquisitions to ensure a seamless integration into the financial statements
Tax provision preparation
Federal, state and local tax return support
Preparing analytical review on key accounts
Internal auditing and validating account reconciliation and support
Monthly Duties:

Review journal entries and reconciliations in Great Plains
General Ledger account analysis and review
Prepare and analyze monthly trial balance for accuracy and reasonableness
Prepaid analysis and prepare appropriate journal entries as necessary
Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports to department managers
Prepare financial reporting packages for management
Other Duties:

Develop procedures to streamline accounting processes
Eliminate duplicate processes and eliminate unnecessary reports
Process or review checks, ACH, wires as needed
Special Projects as requested
Education and Experience

Degree in accounting(CPA preferred)
Five to seven years of full-time professional accounting experience using a computerized financial management system, and at least two of which was in a supervisory capacity.
External or internal audit experience preferred

Knowledge and skill in supervisory practices and principles
High level of Accounting knowledge including GAAP
Excellent knowledge of computer skills, including accounting software (Great Plains), database software, Excel and Word
Ability to multi-task
Skill in performing detailed and complex numerical computations and reports
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
