Job Description
Strategic Sourcing Data Analyst
Our client is seeking a motivated Strategic Sourcing Data Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on driving improvements and innovation within the sourcing department through data analysis, process optimization, and collaborative initiatives. As a key player in sourcing, you'll have the opportunity to develop PowerBI reports, support cost management strategies, and contribute to sourcing optimization projects. Responsibilities:
- Design and implement methods to gather and manage sourcing data for PowerBI report development
- Analyze sourcing data to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable strategies
- Assist in planning and implementing sourcing optimization projects
- Continuously review and enhance sourcing processes to maximize efficiency
- Research and recommend cost-efficient shipment procedures and methods
- Support the Strategic Sourcing team by driving purchasing process improvements
- Innovate data presentation for tracking buying trends, costs, and supplier performance
- Contribute to total cost management efforts, including inventory reduction and price negotiations
- Create, analyze, and maintain supplier performance metrics using PowerBI
- Generate regular sourcing-related reports and KPIs using PowerBI
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
- Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems.
- Ability to learn and utilize Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience collaboratively effectively across various levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in data analysis within a sourcing or supply chain context.
- Familiarity with Oracle and iSupplier portals.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
