As a Procurement Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative and logistic assistance to support the purchases of a wide variety of goods for the Procurement Department. The Procurement Assistant will assist in preparing purchase orders, work with inventory count cycles and reconciliation, obtain quotes, create and maintain purchase files, order confirmations and deliveries. The role requires working in close partnership with various departments including: Operations, Fleet, Facilities, Finance, and other departments.
: Compare prices and specifications to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
: Respond to suppliers regarding inquiries on order status, changes, or cancellations.
: Work with inventory records and price change data
: Must be professional and ethical in all interactions with suppliers.
: Identify potential suppliers, retain existing suppliers and maintain a good relationship with them.
: Keep contract files and use them as reference for the future.
: Produce reports as requested by management.
: Attend meetings as requested.
: Perform other duties as requested by management.
: Proven track record working with a Procure to Pay system, such as Oracle, Coupa, Paramount Workplace
: Ability to juggle multiple tasks with little supervision and provide quality results
: High School Diploma minimum, 2 -4 year degree preferred and/or Procurement certification (NAPM, ISM, CSCMP)
: Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
: Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures.
: Basic knowledge in math.
: Good time management, planning, and organizational skills.
: Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines.
: Detail-oriented, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
: Good command of the English language in verbal and written form.
: Ability to communicate effectively with others.
: Ability to exercise independent action and judgment.
