Adhere to and enforce GMPs and Safety Procedures as set forth by rules and regulations.
Direct the shift activities of the hourly maintenance staff.
Provide technical assistance as needed to hourly maintenance staff.
Assign and prioritize workload within the maintenance shift personnel.
Execute a training plan with skill set matrix for identifying flexible workforce.
Be able to assist in formalized job descriptions for maintenance personnel.
Organize maintenance department to provide optimum services to production and other departments by maximizing performance.
Direct and supervise the effectiveness of the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program.
Utilize computerized management system to monitor equipment downtime, maintenance backlog, and effective use of manpower and parts.
Coordinate weekend and shut down maintenance activities.
Coordinate with Purchasing department to ensure proper repair parts are available for maintenance work.
Motivate employees for maximum performance.
Train employees as necessary on production equipment operation and repair.
Assist Maintenance Manager in maintaining monthly budget.
Assist Maintenance Manager to coordinate capital project installation and improvements.
Assist in developing and maintaining working standards, policies/procedures, task list, training and job descriptions in conjunction with Human Resources.
Know proper usage of shop tools, machines and equipment.
Responsibilities during periods of absence of the Maintenance senior leadership position(s) will be assumed by the Maintenance Shift Lead personnel

Thorough understanding of installation and proven troubleshooting skills of single and 3phase (240-480vt) electrical systems, 24vt-110vt control systems, and their components such as motors, vfd s, transformers, relays, contactors, starters, servo drive components, servo motors, encoders, and control/power panel components.
The ability to use electrical schematics, ladder logic, and plc s to troubleshoot and diagnose manufacturing equipment such as fillers, packers, stretchfilm, and palletizers.
The ability to install and make program operating changes in a beverage prep or manufacturing (production line) environment as needed such as timing changes, pressure/temperature operating levels, speed references, PID loops, and operating sequence.

Extensive experience with troubleshooting, repairs, changeover and maintenance of manufacturing equipment such as fillers, packers, stretchfilm, & palletizers. This would include diagnostics and repair skills for gearboxes, conveyors, equipment installation.
Experience with troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of process equipment such as pasteurizers, blenders, positive displacement and centrifugal pumps and other food or beverage preparation equipment. As example: control top valves, cip equipment.
Experience with troubleshooting of high speed labeling equipment, (cut/stack, roll-fed, pressure sensitive).
Ability to interpret and modify CAD mechanical drawings.
Experience with troubleshooting can seaming experience and ability to analyze and evaluate seams.

Experienced with installation and troubleshooting of compressed air systems to include screw compressors, air dryers, regulators, coalescing filtration systems, compressed air driven pumps.
Experienced with troubleshooting of pressurized steam systems to include boilers (high/low pressure), deareators, line pressure regulators, culinary filtering systems, McDonnell-Miller control units, Endress-Hauser or like pressure and temperature transmitters.
Experience and understanding of basic and sanitary welding, brazing and soldering of non-ferrous metals.
Experience and understanding of water processing equipment such as Nano, reverse osmosis, UV filtering, chlorination systems and troubleshooting of each.
Experience with troubleshooting of inkjet coding systems.
