ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Analyst is responsible for analysis of real estate financial statements and reporting for assigned portfolios. Primary duties will include but are not limited to the following:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Use Argus to analyze new potential leases and restructure existing leases, and provide economic rationale including market and sales comps for inclusion in the IC memo.
Assist Asset Manager in modeling leasing economics and with the negotiation of leases and commission agreements.
Provide oversight in conjunction with Property Management for real estate tax consultant to ensure process is functioning correctly. Consult with tax consultant and asset manager at time of appeal to ensure maximum tax benefit
Support the annual budgeting process.
Prepare quarterly financial reporting and re-forecasting for all properties for the portfolio.
Report on existing construction, maintenance, tenant operational performance, tenant credit including guarantees & letters of credit, lease & loan attributes, due diligence requests and other items as defined.
Manage the data collection process including auditing to maintain data integrity.
Update and maintain numerous report writing dashboards in Orion for both internal and external customers.
Data and report ownership to ensure accuracy and efficient aggregation for reporting to meet all deadlines.
Gather market data and valuation information for portfolio
Other financial reporting, data management, report writing and ad-hoc analysis responsibilities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
5 + years of commercial real estate experience.
B.S. From a 4 year accredited institution in Finance or Accounting.
Proficient with Argus Enterprise
Advanced Excel with experience in Report Writing and Database Software.
Prior experience with financial valuation and financial statement analysis.
Must have the ability to summarize and present financial data in a concise organized manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong task management skills are a must in following up, meeting deadlines and driving tasks to closure.
