Facilities Maintenance Technician-Venice
Job Description
Location: Venice, FL Schedule: M-F, 7:30 AM- 4:00 PM | Local Candidates Only
Summary:
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of our facilities and grounds. This role ensures a welcoming, safe environment performing general maintenance, preventative care, and emergency response as needed.
Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of buildings, equipment, and grounds (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting).
Complete preventative maintenance and respond promptly to work orders.
Coordinate and oversee vendor/contractor work as assigned.
Maintain safety, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
Support emergency preparedness and disaster response efforts.
Provide excellent customer service and clear communication with staff and leadership.
Requirements:
High school diploma/GED and 1+ year of maintenance experience (healthcare setting preferred).
Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
Ability to read construction documents and complete reports.
Strong problem-solving skills; able to work independently.
Must be able to stoop, bend, climb ladders, and lift 50+ lbs.
Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and reliable insured vehicle.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
