Continuous Improvement Specialist
Lead the effort to assist and train others in continuous improvement concepts and principles that support the Global Business System (TMGBS).
Coordinate and lead special projects to achieve improvements of key metrics in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and 5S housekeeping.
Assist in development of the annual plan for company-wide continuous improvement, and work to achieve the objectives set forth in the plan.
Facilitate solving complex problems using various methodologies as-needed (kaizen event, DMAIC, six sigma, PDCA, etc.) on a project specific basis.
Works with functional area leaders to identify improvement projects in their areas of responsibility and facilitate them.
Ensure all projects are designed to meet budgets and specifications, and involve the appropriate personnel to achieve desired results.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience with various lean principles and methodologies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
Possess a sense of urgency and an ability and comfort to work in a technical fast paced environment.
Proficient with software programs including Word, Excel, Power Point, Mini-Tab, etc.
5+ years of experience in continuous improvement activities.
Preferred Qualifications :
Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification.
Deep draw or progressive metal stamping experience.
Experience with automated and manual assembly operations.
