Agile Product Owner

Located in Grand Rapids Michigan

Our client, the nation s largest scrip fundraising provider, is seeking a Product Owner to prioritize, define, launch, and support new eCommerce features and capabilities. This role will also function as key liaison between key stakeholders and IT team member s and serve as subject matter expert developing user stories and test scripts that drive development and test activities. The Product Owner will be hands-on in any capacity necessary to ensure success.

JOB Title: Product Owner
REPORTS TO: Director of IT
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage backlog including prioritizing, refining, and grooming based on business priorities and burn rates
Responsible for delivering new features, enhancement, and bug fixes enhancements for eCommerce applications
Balance trade-offs between time, scope, and cost while meeting business objectives
Pursues incremental delivery by looking for ways to meet business goals and learn from customers through frequent, measurable enhancements.
Ensures completed stories meet acceptance criteria by reviewing test plans, output of automated testing and, where necessary, contributing to manual testing efforts
Assists in investigation and resolution of issues and defects.
Engage with business stakeholders for clarification and reproduce issues to support a timely and appropriate prioritization
Facilitate effective communication between business and IT team members to ensure solutions meet business requirements and expectations
Document comprehensive acceptance criteria
Coordinate UAT
Demo new features to stakeholders

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 6 years experience as a product owner, business analyst, or other relevant experience in eCommerce projects (B2B and/or B2C),
Proficiency with AGILE methodology, ideally SCRUM
Basic knowledge of web technologies and service-oriented architecture
Expertise to articulate clear and concise requirements for new products and new features
Proven ability to collaborate with and influence cross functional team(s) without formal authority
Demonstrated ability to learn company systems and implement new features or enhancements
Detail oriented and organized
Demonstrated team and project leadership skills to meet deadlines
Experience with Jira and/or Confluence desired
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Self-motivated, independent, cooperative, flexible, and creative
Willingness to do whatever task is needed to ensure the team and company are successful
Bachelor s degree
