Job Description
Our client in the Secaucus, NJ area is a leading global manufacturing company that produces high-quality products for the furniture industry and in need of an entry level Accountant for contract to hire. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the accounting and financial reporting functions of the company, and will work closely with the finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Key Responsibilities:

- Includes the monthly process of downloading commission data from Epicor and SAP reporting (includes using SAP BE Analyzer), reconciling differences, making manual adjustments, and creating and disbursing reporting to the payroll manager and sales reps and their managers.
- Responsible for responding to and resolving any inquiries regarding commissions.
- Responsible for any special off-cycle commission calculations such as bonus and pooled commissions.
- Completing, analyzing, and disbursing the weekly sales and bookings analysis.
- Completing low margin reporting and gross margin analysis.
- Provide backup to the payroll manager for the bi-weekly payroll, monthly T&E reporting and Bank reconciliations.
- Position reports directly to the payroll manager and CFO.
- Other data and accounting analysis and special projects as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
This is an entry level position, so no prior work experience is required. However, candidates with prior internship or co-op experience in accounting or finance will be given preference. Additionally, candidates with a CPA or in the process of obtaining a CPA are encouraged to apply.
